Search continues for missing hunter in Dyer Co., TN
DYER COUNTY, TN (KFVS) - The search continues Tuesday for a missing Dyer
County hunter. Ronnie Cobb, 49, was last seen just before dawn on Saturday
when he went turkey hunting.
Volunteer search and rescue crews from as far away as Missouri have been
looking for him. He talked with someone near the river around 10 a.m.
Saturday and that was the last contact he had with anyone.
Crews found his boat about seven miles from the point he would have put
it in the water, and from where his car was parked.
Searchers have been looking for Cobb using sonar equipment in the water,
as well as searching the woods.
Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Holt says he was called about 6 p.m. Saturday
about Cobb being missing.
Sheriff Holt says it's difficult and dangerous because of debris in the
river, plus the water is high and swift.
