Turkey hunter accidentally shoots son

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man lies in critical condition after police say his father accidentally shot him while turkey hunting in Genesee County.

Police say 71-year-old Howard Hartman of Batavia fired a shot, believing he spotted a turkey in the woods off Albion Road in Oakfield early on Monday. His 46-year-old son Scott is now at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. This is the second hunting accident in that area in two days.
