Off-Duty Park Ranger Shot In The Face During Hunting Accident
DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio - A park ranger who was hunting turkey is
recovering Thursday after he was shot in the face.
The incident happened shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday in the area of Alum
Creek State Park on state land, near Hogback Road, in Delaware County.
The male victim, who is in his 30s, was transported to Riverside
Methodist Hospital with a gunshot wound to his face.
He is a park ranger but was off-duty during the incident, according to
the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
He was accidentally shot by another hunter, officials said.
Officials said they believe he will recover.
ODNR continued to investigate.
