HI: Pig hunter shot

Wounded hunter flown to Oahu

A Mountain View man, shot in an apparent hunting accident Saturday on the Big Island, was flown to Oahu in critical condition, Big Island police said.

The man, who was hunting pig, was shot once near Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory in Keaau before 7 a.m., then stabilized at Hilo Medical Center, police said.

He was then flown to a hospital on Oahu in critical condition. The case remains under investigation.
