Hunter shot to death in Maine

CASCO, Maine - State police say they're investigating the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old hunter in southern Maine's Lakes Region.

The shooting occurred Saturday afternoon and an autopsy on the body of Richard Jacobson was performed Sunday.

State police Lt. James Luce said the shooting, which occurred while Jacobson was hunting, was not self-inflicted. He said there's no danger to the public.
