Boy, 15, shoots self in foot
A teenage boy who had been hunting Saturday morning in rural Arlington
accidentally shot himself in the foot.
Washington County Sherriff's Deputy Joe Keas said the boy, who was about
15 years old, was in a field with some friends hunting doves about 11 a.m.
The boy lowered his gun and it accidentally discharged, striking his right
foot.
No one else was injured.
Keas said the boy's injury was not life-threatening. He was transported
to Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, but was then taken to Creighton
University Medical Center.
