Man Dies While Hunting

Iron County, MI - On Sunday, Iron County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report of a hunter down and not breathing off Deer Lake Road in Hematite Township of Iron County.

Deputies arrived to find a 66-year-old Illinois man not breathing.

CPR was performed by the victim's hunting companions for 45 minutes before the Deputies arrived. Northstar EMS responded to the scene as well.

Deputies and paramedics continued administering CPR until 12:02 p.m. when the victim, Peter Carl Pearsall was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of Pearsall's death was determined to be medically related.
