Man dies after fall from hunting stand
A 44-year-old Maryland man was fatally injured Monday when he apparently
fell from an elevated stand while hunting, the Maryland Natural Resources
Police said.
They said the death of Dennis Arthur Siler, of Port Deposit, which
occurred in the Elkton, Md. area, was the second fatal tree-stand hunting
accident since the Sept. 15 start of bow season for deer.
The Natural Resources Police said Siler had been hunting from a portable
climbing stand 30 feet high.
