Duck hunter rescues companion from Mecosta County lake
MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. - A pair of duckers is recovering after their boat
capsized in Mecosta County's Chippewa Lake.
By the time deputies arrived, one of the victims, Jonathon Oshinski, had
made it to shore and rescued the other hunter. The sheriff's department says
Oshinski grabbed a nearby row boat and took it out onto the water to rescue
his companion, William Deal. Rescuers helped pull the boat to shore.
Both Deal and Oshinski were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were
treated for exposure.
