Bow hunter found dead in Solon Township
SOLON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - A 24-year-old bow hunter is dead following
a hunting accident in northern Kent County.
It happened around 9 p.m. Thursday in a wooded area along Simmons Avenue
NE, north of 20 Mile Road.
Rodney S. Smith, of Cedar Springs was found unresponsive on the ground by
a relative who went looking for him after he didn't return home. Smith was
pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
An autopsy will be performed Friday, but police do not suspect foul play.
