MN Hunter Shot In Eye In SD
GETTYSBURG, SD - A Minnesota hunter was flown to a Sioux Falls hospital
after a shotgun pellet struck his right eye while he was hunting in north
central South Dakota.
Potter County Sheriff Alan McClain says 67-year-old Emile Pille of Esko,
Minnesota, was hunting with a dozen others from the Duluth area when the
accident occurred Monday afternoon.
McClain says Pille's companions took him to a Gettysburg hospital and he
was later flown to Sioux Falls for surgery. Hospital officials did not
release information on his condition.
Local and state officials investigated. McClain says they determined no
crime was committed.
