Teen hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself in face
CHILDRESS, TX (KCBD) - A Childress teenager remained hospitalized in
Lubbock Monday night, after authorities say he accidentally shot himself in
the face over the weekend. According to KFDA-TV in Amarillo, the 16-year-old
victim was at an area hunting ground when the accident happened.
He had a rifle, and reportedly thought it wasn't loaded, when he
accidentally shot himself around 10:00 a.m. Sunday. First responders brought
him to Lubbock with life threatening injuries.
