Update: Hunter injured after fall from tree stand
BIRNAMWOOD - A 19-year-old man was critically injured Thursday evening
after he fell from a tree stand in Birnamwood, according to the Shawano
County Sheriff's Department.
An ambulance was called around 6 p.m. to Cherry Lane where Braydin Resch
of Birnamwood had fallen about 15 feet, according to a sheriff's department
dispatcher.
Resch was conscious and breathing when rescue personnel arrived on scene
and Resch was flown by helicopter to a hospital, according to the sheriff's
department.
Resch was in critical condition this morning at Aspirus Wausau Hospital,
a hospital spokesman said.
