Lake Charles father kills son in deer hunting accident
LAKE CHARLES -- A deer hunt turned to tragedy Saturday when a father shot
his son to death as darkness fell on the west Louisiana woods.
According to Beauregard Parish deputies, Patrick Kyle Moore, 41, of Lake
Charles was hunting with his father at the H&H Hunting Club west of Singer.
Deputies said Moore was moving in his father's line of sight shortly
before 6 p.m. when his father fired at what he thought was a deer moving.
The bullet struck Moore in the chest and he died a short time later.
Moore was a 101st Airborne veteran of Desert Storm.
