Hunter shot in Marquette County Northwestern

A hunter sustained non-life threatening injuries when he was struck in
the head by a stray bullet fragment while hunting near the Grand River Marsh
in Marquette County on Saturday.
According to a press release from the Marquette County Sheriff's
Department, the incident occurred about 9 a.m. on the opening day of the
deer hunting season. It happened on public hunting land.
The incident is being treated as an accidental shooting and is being
investigated by the Wisconsin DNR and the Marquette County Sheriff's
Department.
