Teen shot in face in hunting accident

November 26, 2010

CORPUS CHRISTI - A 15-year-old boy was shot in the face accidentally this week during a hunting trip in Duval County.

HALO-Flight officials said a flight crew was dispatched about 4:19 p.m. Tuesday and transported the teen, who was awake and talking, to Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial hospital.

The teen's name and condition was not available Friday.

The Alice Echo-News Journal reported on its Website Friday that the teen is from Houston and was accidentally shot by his 12-year-old cousin while hunting for rabbits.
