Deer Hunter Shot By Muzzle Loader Friday
The victim of a hunting accident was flown from the scene by helicopter
on the first morning of firearm deer season Friday near Walshville.
The victim was wounded by the muzzle loader rifle he was using.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
The Litchfield ambulance and Shoal Creek Fire Department were dispatched
at 9:30 a.m. Friday to the Walshville post office, where a hunter waited to
lead help to where the accident occurred in deep timber about a mile outside
of Walshville on Shoal Creek Trail.
