Man dead after hunting accident, sheriff says

GREENBRIER COUNTY - A Lewisburg man is dead after a Thursday evening hunting accident in Greenbrier County.

Sheriff James Childers said 45-year-old James Burns died on Alta Vista Road outside Ronceverte. Childers said the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The body has been sent to the medical examiner's office in South Charleston and the sheriff's office will continue to investigate the incident, Childers said.
