Missing Vt hunter's body found following search

Dec 5, 2010

CALAIS, Vt. (AP) Authorities in Vermont say the body of a missing hunter has been located following an all-night search.

The hunter, 61-year-old Scott Mackey of Calais (CAL-uss), was reported missing at about 8 p.m. Saturday. Game wardens, troopers and dogs searched through the night for Mackey.

State police and Vermont Fish and Wildlife say Mackey was dropped off in North Calais early Saturday and was supposed to meet the rest of his hunting party at 11 a.m., but he never arrived at the designated location.
