Man dies in hunting accident in NW Arkansas
December 2, 2010
BOSTON — Arkansas Game and Fish officials say a man has been killed in a
hunting accident near Boston in the northwest part of the state.
Game and Fish officials say a family member found the man’s body late
Wednesday, but investigators believe the body had been there several hours.
Arkansas Game and Fish officials told KFSM-TV Thursday the man was
identified as 34-year-old Gaylen Dowdy.
Family members told officers they went looking for him after he didn’t
come back from a morning hunting trip.
Investigators say it appears Dowdy’s shotgun fired as he was trying to
get off a four-wheeler.
