VA: Man Killed in Louisa Hunting Accident
Man Killed in Louisa Hunting Accident
January 15, 2011
A Mineral man has been killed in what authorities are calling a hunting
accident late Saturday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries
says 49-year-old Timothy Kevin Hall was shot in the head while hunting in
Louisa County. Hall was hunting with two others and was about 150 feet away
when a deer ran between them. The two other hunters fired at the deer and
Hall was hit with a single-pellet of buckshot in the temple.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is investigating. The
investigation likely will take several days, any information will then be
turned over to the Louisa Commonwealth's Attorney who will decide whether to
file charges.
Saturday was the last day of general firearms season for deer.
