Man shoots himself while hunting

COPIAH CO, MS (WLBT) - A 19-year-old Wesson man is recovering from wounds suffered during a hunting accident Tuesday night.

Copiah County Sheriff's Investigator Sharon Kelly said that Nicholas Nations apparently tripped and shot himself in the side with a 12-gauge shotgun.

He was hunting wild hogs with other hunters when the accident happened.

The sheriff says Nations was transported to UMC by helicopter.
