April 6, 2011
CORPUS CHRISTI — A shooting Tuesday at the Winn Ranch in northern Kleberg
County was a hunting accident, authorities said.
Two men were hunting feral hogs from a truck off Farm-to-Market Road 70
when the driver reached for his weapon and accidentally fired it, said Lt.

The driver was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial where he was
treated for a severe wound to his right forearm, Mendoza said. He said the
man was in good condition after treatment.
