A hunting accident in Harrison County has police warning hunters
to make sure they identify their targets.
Police responded to a shooting on Route 58 near Bridgeport around
6 a.m.
They say three men were turkey hunting when 40-year-old Kenneth
Bennington was shot with shot gun pellets. Bennington was taken to
United Hospital Center for injuries to the upper chest, head, and
neck and has since been released.
Police say the accident was a simple case of mistaken identity.
The Natural Resource Police are still investigating that
accident.
