FAIRBANKS — A hunter with a fractured shoulder was rescued
Thursday night from the Delta Junction area with help from the
Alaska Air National Guard.
The 67-year-old man was 20 miles west of Delta Junction when he
ran into trouble, according to the Alaska Air National Guard. At
about 8 p.m., the Air Guard received a request for help from Alaska
State Troopers and was sent to the scene out of Eielson Air Force
Base and out of Anchorage.
The Alaska Air National Guard’s 210th, 211th and 212th Rescue
Squadron responded.
