KELLOGG, Iowa (AP) - A Keokuk man has been hospitalized after
shooting himself in a hand while hunting pheasants in Jasper County.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says 18-year-old Levi
Krome was resting his left hand over the barrel of his 12-guage
shotgun when it discharged Sunday afternoon at a public hunting area
on the north side of Rock Creek State Park.
Krome was taken to a Des Moines hospital.
