ST. AUGUSTA – A 50-year-old St. Augusta man has been hurt in a
hunting accident.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Department says Daniel Nelson was
hunting on his property near County Road 136.
He was about 12 feet above the ground in his deer stand when he
lost his balance after firing at a deer. A rotted portion of the
tree gave way, causing Nelson to fall to the ground.
He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital and is listed in fair
condition.
