Rescuers from a variety of agencies converged on a mountainside
near Rogers Pass Saturday morning to aid a hunter who had fallen and
broken a leg.
Alan Hughes, a deputy with the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s
Department, said Kevin Koehmstedt of Great Falls was hunting near
the pass when he slipped and injured his left leg. He was able to
use his cell phone to contact his wife, who then called police
dispatchers in Helena shortly after 9 a.m.
