Mystery Surrounds Hunter's Death

MYFOXNY.COM - The New York State Police are investigating the death of a hunter who was found unresponsive with a head injury.

It happened on Nov. 9, 2011 at approximately 6:15 p.m.

Brett R. Sherburne, 19 of Hancock, N.Y. was found near the edge of Readburn Rd.

Ambulance workers attempted to revive him and then took him to Delaware Valley Hospital in Delhi, but it was too late.

Police determined that Sherburne had been hunting on land adjacent to Readburn Road prior to his injury.

They are trying to find out what lead up to his death and are looking for any witnesses.
