Hunter in critical condition after fall from tree stand

November 15, 2011

By Keith Edwards, WQOW.com

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A fall from a tree-stand leaves a western Wisconsin hunter in critical condition.

Michael Hanson, 35, was injured Saturday afternoon. The Polk County sheriff says the Roberts man was with a group of five other hunters. When they came out of the woods, they realized he was missing. He had apparently been lying on the ground for several hours.

Hanson was airlifted to the hospital and is in critical condition.
