WASHINGTON Co. (WISH) - A man is still in the hospital after he
shot himself in the foot while deer hunting on Tuesday in Washington
County.
Matthew Caudill of Salem was deer hunting near Enon Church Road
when he accidentally shot himself in the foot, according to a
release.
Caudill was climbing his tree stand and had tied a pull rope to
his shot gun. As he started to pull the slack from the rope, his gun
fired and hit him on his left foot.
Caudill was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Salem and
later transported by ambulance to University of Louisville Hospital.
As of Saturday, Caudill was still in the hospital in stable
condition.
Medical personal are waiting to see the results of surgery before
releasing him.
