BEDFORD — A 61-year-old Bedford man sustained injuries after
falling about
17 feet while hunting deer in Lawrence County, according to the
Indiana Conservation Officers.
Jeff Elkins sustained facial, shoulder and back injuries.
According to a press release, Elkins attempted to step onto a
stand fixed to a tree at about 9:30 a.m. Friday when the stand gave
way.
Elkins was wearing a safety harness at the time of the fall
however Elkins had not yet attached the harness to the tree.
