Waukesha Co. authorities respond to report of hunter who was shot

WAUKESHA - The Waukesha Sheriff's Department says that they are investigating a report of a hunter who was shot in a field on Monday morning.

A staff member told Newsradio 620 WTMJ that the shooting happened in Ixonia just before 12:00 p.m. Monday.

The man reportedly was shot in the chest.while he was hunting.

Waukesha County Sheriff's Detective Steve Pederson told TODAY'S TMJ4's Lacey Crisp that Flight for Life was called to the scene.
