A boat carrying three men who were duck hunting in the rain along
Lake Erie in Morin Point capsized Tuesday afternoon, sending all
three into the water, fire officials tell FOX Toledo News.
Two of the hunters made it to shore safely. Firefighters and
search crews pulled the third boater out of water.
The two hunters made it to shore safely and were rushed to Toledo
Hospital in Toledo and are being treated for hypothermia.
The two hunters were walking along the marshland when first
responders arrived, said Morin Point Volunteer Fire Chief Patrick
Zaleski.
Volunteer firefighters and first responders from Morin Point,
Erie Township, Washington Township and the Monroe County Sheriff's
Office conducted a search effort for the third hunter.
They located the third hunter and pulled the body out of the
water at around 4:45 p.m.
