AUTAUGA COUNTY, AL
Autauga County Sheriff Herbie Johnson says the body of a hunter
was discovered Saturday in what appears to be a hunting accident.
The body of Ken Seamon, 49, was found off County Road 61 about
half a mile east of County Road 59.
Seamon, who is Sheriff Johnson's nephew, was found in the area
where his hunting club usually hunts.
Sheriff Johnson said he tried calling the man repeatedly on his
cell phone and could not reach him. Seamon's son-in-law went into
the woods where he later found him dead.
It appears that Seamon shot himself accidentally when he was
trying to pull his hunting rifle into the tree stand.
