Hunter hospitalized after falling from tree stand

PENNVILLE — A Pennville man was injured Saturday after falling from his tree stand while hunting.

Clyde W. Smith was hospitalized after falling about 12 feet, according to a media release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Neither the extent of his injuries nor his condition was released.

According to the release, Smith, who was not wearing a safety harness, was climbing down his tree stand when he fell from the top of his ladder.
