TAZEWELL (WATE) - Officials in Claiborne County are investigating after a teenager was killed Saturday in a hunting accident. It happened on Anders Road off of Route 32 north of Tazewell.

Family members confirm Devin Smith, 15, of Middlesboro, Ky. was hunting in the woods with his grandfather in Claiborne County when the incident occurred. Smith was a student at Middlesboro High School.

The Claiborne County Sheriff's Office said they do not yet know whether the shooter knew the victim.
