Man found inside burned blind
MANISTIQUE - Police have released the name of the Manistique man
who was found deceased in his burnt deer blind in Schoolcraft County
on Monday.
The body of Ralph Clarence Miller, 69, was found in the burnt
remains of his deer blind in Thompson Township where he and his wife
had been hunting in separate blinds on public land, said Michigan
State Police from the Manistique Detachment.
Troopers were dispatched to the scene at around 2:14 p.m. Monday
after Miller's wife found him in his blind after he failed to show
up at a designated meeting place.
An autopsy was scheduled at Marquette General Hospital Tuesday,
said troopers who continue to investigate the cause of death and
cause of the fire.
