LYMAN, Neb. — A Wyoming boy has been hospitalized after an
accidental shooting in the Nebraska Panhandle.
The Scotts Bluff County sheriff's office told KNEB-AM (http://bit.ly/v687RG
) that Cade Herring, of Veteran, Wyo., was hunting with an
11-year-old friend when he was shot in a hand Friday morning near
Lyman. He was taken to a Denver hospital with non-life-threatening
injuries.
Authorities say the Herring was handing a shotgun down an
embankment to his friend when the gun accidentally fired.
