After a man was accidentally shot in the shoulder while hunting,
law enforcement officials in Briscoe County are looking for tips as
to who did it.
The Briscoe County Sheriff's Office said Sava Garza of Amarillo
was shot sometime between 3:30 and 6:00 Wednesday afternoon while he
was hunting on the Prairie Dog Town Fork of the Red River. That's
near the bridge on Texas Highway 256 near the Briscoe and Hall
County line.
Police said a white pickup was seen under the bridge before the
shooting.
That vehicle is now being sought.
Anyone who was hunting or knows of anyone hunting in the area is
asked to call the Briscoe County Sheriff's Office at (806) 823-2135.
