Boy fatally shoots grandfather in Hardee County hunting accident

Kenneth Lindsey Beach, 69, was shot on land in the Zolfo Springs area.
In what authorities are calling a tragic hunting accident, a man was shot to death by his 9-year-old grandson while hunting in rural Hardee County.
Kenneth Lindsey Beach, 69, died Sunday morning after being shot on land in the Zolfo Springs area, near Sweetwater Road and George Marsh Road.
Beach and his grandson were turkey hunting when the boy accidentally shot Beach in the head, according to Hardee County Sheriff's Office Maj. Randy Dey.
Deputies were called to the site at about 8 a.m. Beach was pronounced dead by Hardee County Fire Rescue.
