They were not hunting companions.
The Missouri Department of Conservation says John Howell, 68,
shot David Bradley, 28, about 6:40 a.m. Howell was
sitting at the base of a tree when he shot Bradley, who was standing
next to another tree.
The 12-gauge shotgun blast hit Bradley in the chest and head.
Shannon County Coroner Tim Denton says the accident was not
fatal, at least as of early afternoon.
