CRAWFORD CO., Ill. (WTHI) - On Friday at
6:20 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, the Crawford
County Rescue, Prairie-Licking Fire Department and the Oblong Fire
Department responded to the area of 1550 N. and 375 E., having
received a report of a missing turkey hunter.
Steven Moyes,
53, of Oblong, Ill., went turkey hunting on Friday morning and never
returned home.
Despite all of the efforts of the searchers,
Moyes was found by a mounted searcher deceased in the woods at
approximately 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
