PLYMOUTH — A hunter trying to hang his tree stand for the
upcoming deer season was seriously hurt Wednesday night when he fell
from the tree.
Indiana Conservation Officer Seth Owens said
Stephen Guzak, 45, was not using any a climbing harness or safety
line when he fell about 20-feet to the ground. He suffered a broken
hip, dislocated shoulder and possible broken ribs and arm.
He was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend and was in
stable condition.
