ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A hunting trip ended with the death of
26-year-old Trapper Creek man after another man accidentally shot
him.
Cody Parry was pronounced dead by Trapper Creek medics
after the shooting Saturday night.
Parry and 29-year-old
Kyle Strong of Wasilla were staying in a cabin off the Parks
Highway.
The men scouted around Saturday and planned to go
moose hunting Sunday.
According to troopers, Strong cleaned
his rifle and was still working with it when a round discharged
around 10:30 p.m. and passed through Parry's leg as he was on the
couch.
