IRON, Minn. (WCCO) – An Eveleth teen was accidently shot by his
brother while duck hunting in a canoe early Saturday morning.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department, three teens
were in a canoe on Elbow Lake: 16-year old Baker Felix, his
18-year-old brother Bryten and 18-year-old Olaf Walkky of Britt.
As the young hunters stood up in the canoe to shoot at ducks
overhead, the canoe rolled and began to take on water. As Bryten
fell back and tried to catch himself, his shotgun discharged –
hitting Baker in the knee.
