By Daily News Staff, WinonaDailyNews.com

An Arcadia, Wis. hunter died Sunday night in Buffalo County after his ATV crashed.

Gregory A. Fedie, 57, was reported missing at 11:54 p.m., according to the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office. He had left his house earlier in the day on a four-wheel ATV to move tree stands, and had not returned.

During a subsequent search that lasted into early Monday morning, deputies discovered that Fedie had been involved in an ATV crash on a hillside and died at the scene from his injuries, according to the department.

Several agencies assisted in the search, including the Waumandee/Montana/Lincoln Fire Department, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and the Independence Police Department.

No further information was available Monday morning. The incident remains under investigation.
