An Arcadia, Wis. hunter died Sunday night in Buffalo County after
his ATV crashed.
Gregory A. Fedie, 57, was reported missing
at 11:54 p.m., according to the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office. He
had left his house earlier in the day on a four-wheel ATV to move
tree stands, and had not returned.
During a subsequent
search that lasted into early Monday morning, deputies discovered
that Fedie had been involved in an ATV crash on a hillside and died
at the scene from his injuries, according to the department.
Several agencies assisted in the search, including the
Waumandee/Montana/Lincoln Fire Department, the Wisconsin Department
of Natural Resources, and the Independence Police Department.
No further information was available Monday morning. The incident
remains under investigation.
