WV: Bow Hunting Accident Claims The Life Of Hunter

Ona, WV/Jackson County

A hunting accident in the woods near the Rock Castle area of Jackson County claimed the life of a Milton man.

The accident happened Saturday around 7:30 p.m.

The DNR said Mark Alan Metz, 53, was leaving his tree stand when he lost his footing and fell approximately 18 feet to the ground. Metz had been bow hunting.
