A Wausau area man was found dead late Monday at the base of a
tree stand, according to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department.
Steve M. Raskie, 50, was found with a bolt from a crossbow
through his neck, according to police.
According to a police
report Raskie’s teenage daughter told investigators that he sent her
a text message after 11 a.m. and said he was deer hunting.
The teen told police that Raskie did not respond to her text
messages.
