IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — The Idaho Falls Post-Register reports that 31-year-old Ian Malepeai and his wife, Hailey Hodges, of Irwin, had been hunting Monday.

Ian Malepeai was removing a 7 mm rifle from his pickup truck just after 7 p.m. when it discharged, sending a bullet into Hailey's buttocks.

Bonneville county Sheriff's deputies say Hodges, who is also 31, was transported to a hospital in the region.
